This exhibition, comprising original texts and facsimile editions, offered an overview of the efforts made in the field of dictionary production that address different aspects of Peruvian culture and its multilingual condition. Three sections formed it: the first section was dedicated to the languages of Peru, mainly Quechua and Aymara, as well as Mochica and current work on Amazonian languages. The second revolved around the thematic dictionaries that were devised from the 18th century onwards, in the same lines as the encyclopaedic enterprises of the European Enlightenment; and the third presented the studies on Peruvians and regionalisms that have been developed in our country since the 19th century.
